I love the show and I have a beard, but I am nit a vegan, I am a vegan adjacent. That is I don’t eat animals or their secretionsn. The only reason I don’t eat honey is that I don’t like it. I also think testing medical devices and some pharma testing is needed to aid human life. Still, great podcast despite the fact the you ate wrong.
Dean,
p.s. my beard is currently 5 months and 3 inches. I also am working to develop a convenient home hemodialysis system, which requires pre-clinical trials (animal testing before human testing begins.)
Sorry for my mispellings, I’m old and my phone is small.
Hey guys,
Great show as always!
I’d be a bit wary of showing someone Earthlings first.
I’m thinking I’d show someone Cowspiracy first, then Forks Over Knives, then Earthlings. But I’m wary of ending with Earthlings too. Could be too heavy. I can see someone giving up during Earthlings. Three in a row is a lot.
What do you think?
Hey Grey, personally if I was to show three in a row (you’re right that IS a lot, probably best broken up into two or three separate viewings) I think the optimal order is Conspiracy, Earthlings, Forks Over Knives. I think it’s best to end on something positive and FOK seems the most empowering of the three.
Good call!
Always best to end on a positive note.
I would like to know what film would get 5 beards from Andy? Any film, not necessarily a vegan one 🙂
Haha, I feel like I come across as a very tough customer to please whenever we do film reviews. Some of my top films from the last few years have been Room, Under The Skin, Green Room, It Follows and Fruitvale Station.
Some of my all time favorite films are The Big Lebowski, The House Of Sand And Fog, Deadman, Buffalo 66 and Punch Drunk Love.
Clearly I have pretty specific taste for which films really *do it* for me and I can certainly acknowledge that most of those films listed above have their flaws but, for me personally, they hit all the right buttons.
