good on you guys for telling that racist shirt where to go 😉 — i really do think it is critical that we as vegans are able to call each other out on our inconsistent ideals.. no one is perfect, and we all have a great deal to learn. I am sure you would have been compassionate and thoughtful in your comments, and not screaming her down, but while it may have got you a few well lipped ‘Asshole’s in you direction .. lets hope its planted a seed, just like when we first discuss veganism or any other social justice topic,… seeds to grow seeds to grow! – keep up the epic work!
Thanks Alexandra, it was definitely not an easy thing to do but I think we all need to push ourselves to get uncomfortable, especially in situations where our silence provides silent consent for whatever wrongdoing is happening.
