The Bearded Vegans finds hosts Paul and Andy in a discussion dissecting all things vegan. News, reviews, interviews and in depth discussion of issues within the vegan community are regular features of the show.
Episode Description
In what was originally intended to be a mini-episode, we present our no holds barred review of the highly anticipated movie Unity by Shaun Monson (director of Earthlings).
You guys seem like the type that would say LOST didn’t answer anything either. During your whole Unity review you never mentioned mediation, which is the action you suggested was never proposed. To make a better podcast for your audience, please don’t go “on the fly”. I felt Unity was easy to follow, you guys were not easy to follow.
I’m so glad you guys hated this movie as much as I did. I was one of the people who walked out after about 20-30 minutes. I was traumatized by the cow scene in the opener, and then I felt like the rest of it wasn’t making any sense at all. As a vegan, I really hate seeing footage like that without warning. It haunted me for weeks. I’m glad I didn’t see the fish-eating scene. The rest of the movie was a bunch of disconnected nonsensical philosophy 101-sounding sentences strung together by a bunch of random famous people.
Thank you for being honest about it. I posted a review on my site and was nervous about pushback, but I just received a lot of vegans who were grateful to hear they weren’t the only ones who didn’t like it. I totally agree with you guys that we can’t praise things to the heavens just because they’re vegan if they’re not also good.
