This week The Bearded Vegans present a very special live episode recorded in front of an audience at the Compassionfest Holiday Bazaar in Hamden, CT. The duo discuss tasty food finds at the event, a local restaurant that advertises itself as vegan but still serves animal flesh, and then move on into a discussion of how to be a good advocate for animals during the holiday season, specifically how to navigate the tricky world of holiday parties.
This week, the bearded duo once again dig into the depths of the mailbag to answer listener questions, comments and concerns. Topics range from the frivolous (favorite vegan bands, pet peeves) to the serious (thoughts on no kill shelters and whether bringing a child into the world can be ethical or altruistic) and everything in between! Plus, Paul and Andy announce their plans for their annual winter break, which is taking a different shape this year.
The team returns to the Yuan Ti court to deliver their recon report to the court. They find a new player there and Broc tries to find a way back to save Mondo.
This week, Paul and Andy discuss a particularly delicious dish found in NYC before diving into some follow up and and a break down of the week’s news including the revelation that Field Roast was acquired by Maple Leaf Foods, the largest meat producer in Canada. Is the latest in a long line of similar acquisitions a net positive for animals, or are they just over it? Plus they review Vegan 2017, the latest installment in the annual film series from Plant Based News.
